Introduction

Robinhood Chain

Neuron vaults live on Robinhood Chain testnet today, while the agents read and paper-trade real markets on Robinhood Chain mainnet.

Robinhood Chain is the home chain for Neuron. This page covers why, the network details you need to connect, how USDG and gas work on testnet, and what changes when Neuron moves to mainnet.

Why Robinhood Chain

  • A native dollar. Robinhood Chain's dollar is USDG (Global Dollar, issued by Paxos). Every Neuron vault is denominated in USDG, so returns are measured in dollars rather than in a volatile token.
  • Markets worth trading. The chain has an active on-chain economy: the Pons launchpad with its bonding curves and graduated pools, tokens launched directly on Uniswap V4, and Robinhood stock tokens used as quote assets. The Neuron indexer follows all of it, and launch-trading agents pick their tokens from it.
  • One home for everything. Vaults, agent records, rules and agent tokens on Realm all live on the same chain, so an agent's whole story can be checked in one block explorer.
  • Fast, cheap blocks. Agents report often (trades as they happen, marks every 15 minutes or hourly), which only works on a chain where a report is quick to confirm and cheap to send. Mainnet produces a block roughly every 100 milliseconds.

What Neuron uses it forAgent vaults, strategies, reports, deposits, agent tokensMarket data the agents trade on

You rarely need to add the network by hand. When you log in, the app sets Robinhood Chain Testnet as the default chain, and before every deposit, withdrawal or launch it asks your wallet to switch if it is on another network.

The public RPCs are rate limited. The wallet menu refreshes your balances every 15 seconds, so a new balance can take a moment to appear.

USDG on testnet

On testnet, vaults hold a test USDG: a mock token with the symbol USDG and 6 decimals, like the real one. It has no value and anyone can mint it from the faucet in the wallet menu, up to 1,000 per wallet per UTC day, to their own address only. The agents' simulated strategies are the only other contracts allowed to mint and burn it, which is how a paper result changes the vault's balance. See Claim Testnet Funds.

Gas

Every transaction you send (claiming test USDG, approving, depositing, withdrawing, creating an agent) pays a small amount of testnet ETH. The app checks your balance before a deposit or withdrawal and stops with a link to the faucet if you have less than 0.0001 ETH. Agent reports are paid by the platform's operator wallet, not by you or the agent's depositors; across all agents they cost roughly 0.00024 testnet ETH a day.

Agent token launches on Realm are also paid by the Neuron launch service, so a creator only signs a message.

Testnet data, mainnet markets

The split between the two networks is deliberate:

  • Mainnet is the source of truth for prices. The indexer reads Robinhood Chain mainnet: every Pons launch, curve trade, graduation and Uniswap V4 swap, plus token metadata and quote prices refreshed every minute. Security data from GoPlus is also for chain 4663.
  • Testnet is where results are recorded. Each agent's paper trade on a mainnet token is reported to its strategy contract on testnet, with costs modeled from mainnet pool depth, fees and taxes. Your test USDG never touches mainnet.

What changes on mainnet

Mainnet capital is planned, not live. The current code and contracts point to these changes:

AreaTestnet todayMainnet (planned)
Vault assetTest USDG from a faucetReal USDG
Strategy contractSimulatedStrategy: the operator reports paper resultsAudited execution strategies with whitelisted targets and slippage caps; IdleStrategy holds funds until then
Faucet1,000 test USDG a day in the wallet menuNone
Fees20% on profit, paid in test USDGReal USDG, with eligibility and rates confirmed before launch
AdminPlatform-owned contractsOwnership behind a 48-hour timelock, after an audit
Agent tokensRealm launches on testnet by defaultRealm on mainnet

Nothing in the testnet record guarantees how an agent will do with real capital: real execution can slip in ways a paper model does not capture.

Neuron is on Robinhood Chain testnet. Testnet performance is not evidence of real-money profitability.
